Before and after

Charming and realistic! This painting, titled, “Before and After”, is a one-of-a-kind, oil on canvas by Dominican Artist, Genaro Coste Félix. He shows a young girl with her hair in pony tails, seemingly hungry and crying indicating the “before”, and as “after”, he shows the same girl eating something which has calmed her down. Her eyes are now droopy, and she has taken her hair down to a relaxed position. There is a blue ribbon wrapped around both images like a security blanket. The single white daisy in the center of the canvas represents the innocence of this child.
