The Ant Color Thing

In this surreal mixed media painting on canvas, there is the “Thing” a common element throughout many of Diógenes Santana’s paintings. In this one, there is the “Thing” centrally located with trailing appendages extending outward from the amorphous body. It is a deep dark wine shade of red and the background is a pale-yellow shade encircled by a light green landscape.
