Things are Bad

In this visually intense surreal acrylic painting on canvas, there is the twisting and turning appendages of the “Thing” in a hospital bed. The perfectly placed brush strokes flow effortlessly over the light red walls and the dark vicious red of the appendages in the bed. If you look closely you can see an IV solution bag which is presumably giving fluids to the “Thing” lying in the bed. Notice how the blue foot board and headboard contrast greatly with the rest of the colors in this magnificent painting.
