This piece is almost two paintings in one. When viewed from afar, you can see the right angles and thick black border lines holding the bright sun yellow from piercing throughout the artwork and giving light to everything it touches. The black lines are also holding back the deep blues which is reminiscent of the midnight sky. Speaking of midnight sky; if you look towards the upper part of this mixed painting, you can see what looks to be a full scene! The full moon is in stark contrast of the never-ending blues which make up the water and sky.
