Dancer in Suspension

Dominican Artist, Jimmy Verdecia painted this acrylic on canvas painting which is part of his “surrealist women” original series. Masterly painted, Mr. Verdecia uses long, swirling brush stokes of bold deep colors including blue, green, yellow, red, and orange. The texture is thick in places giving this painting great dimension.  The curved lines create an edge around the dancer, a natural beauty. Her dress matches her shoes and the white flower which is gracefully positioned in her dark hair creating a visual harmony.
