Perhaps the traveler is off to Barahona to visit San Rafael Beach, or Quemaito Beach, or even experience an amazing adventure on a mountain? The road to Barahona is brown and dirty. The need for repair of this worn out road is evident by the deep grooves extending the entirety of its distance. Barahona is in the south of the Dominican Republic, and as apparent in this oil painting, one can see that the road boarders the enormous, deep blue Caribbean Sea as it travels and winds around hills and massive trees whose green leaves shade the road during the warm humid tropical climate.
