Yellow and Red Flowers

A medley of botanical harmony, which according to Clelia Genao is “inspired by the warm light of our Caribbean country”. This Dominican artist brings life in this oil painting by presenting freshly picked yellow daisies, and red and gold roses to the table. Using moderately-low contrast, medium-dark values, in various shades of browns, oranges, yellows, and green and at various saturation levels in an analogous relationship the foreground of the table leads to the background of the wall behind these flowers in the most pleasing of ways, truly embellishing the decor.
