Dominican artist Clelia Genao, portrays a child drinking water from the river in this delightful oil painting. As the boy with the chestnut brown hair scoops up the water with his hands to drink from the river, droplets fall and the blue water ripples. His manner of dress, red shirt, dark blue pants, blue socks, and black shoes that are less than casual, suggests that he was heading somewhere other than the river, when the temptation of the enticing river overcame him, so he stopped for a satisfying drink and a most superior view. Even the green algae that forms on riverbank and the dirty brown and tan rocks are pleased to make this their home.
