Mountain flowers

This original Dominican oil painting by Clelia Genao is of “flowers in mountain lowered in Monte Cristi”. The texture in this oil painting articulates the sky with steaks of yellow among the varying shades of blue and the dominance of white in this partly cloudy day. If one stands atop the dark green mountains and looks below, the view is of the gentle slopes, with thick streaks of gold forming the organic shapes suggesting colorful trees far in the background.
