Bottle Still Life

(Español) This acrylic on paper still life expressionism art piece shows four bottles. Two black, one purple, and one green bottle. This may be referred to the Botella series which is original from the Dominican Republic, the term “la botella” represents the traditional medical knowledge of indigenous people (Tainos), from the abducted African slaves, from the Spanish traditional medicine and not least the influence of Voodoo. These bottles may have different medicinal purposes.
