One Bottle

(Español) This acrylic on paper art piece is one single black bottle with a background of light multiple bottles. Original from the Dominican Republic, the term “la botella” represents the traditional medical knowledge of indigenous people (Tainos), from the abducted African slaves, from the Spanish traditional medicine and not least the influence of Voodoo. This acrylic bottle on this paper to the artist may have a more medicinal purpose than of those in the background.
