Explosion

Here is another Caribbean painting from the series, “surrealist women” by Dominican painter, Jimmy Verdecia. This original, acrylic on canvas painting has an explosion of red in the center directly in front of the

nude woman with the ivory skin. She is wearing an off-white head dress, neatly framed around her face. It holds her dark hair into place.  Like the blue water waves of the ocean that a surfer might enjoy, swirling strokes of blue crash around in front of the woman and over the top of her. There is a sailboat in the right corner of the foreground with a reflection in the blue sea waters.
